Uploading an image, drawing a rectangle, polygon, or freehand selection, and exporting a transparent PNG all happen in your browser.

AI-assisted selection

Only when you choose AI-assisted selection, LassoCrop sends either the full image or a cropped area around your selection to a third-party AI image service for processing. A cropped area may include a small amount of surrounding image content.

The AI provider processes the image under its own service and retention policies. AI results may be incomplete or inaccurate, so review the cutout before using it.

Your filename and selection coordinates are not sent.

Good to know

AI results can be refined locally before export. When you replace an image or close the page, the browser releases the working image from the tool.

To prevent abuse of AI-assisted features, LassoCrop uses an anonymous browser identifier and a privacy-preserving hash of your network address to enforce usage limits. These identifiers are not used for advertising. Daily usage records expire automatically after the applicable limit window.
